Anyone have a Mini with the Clutch mounted outboard?

#1
I have a motor and it looks like I can only have the clutch mounted outboard.

That means the shoes are on the inside (closest to the engine) and the gear is on the outside.

Anyone have some pictures?

Thanks.

If you have the 4 bolt holes around the crank, you may have to use a bolt on jackshaft. Usually they don't line up right outboard. The kind of jackshaft kit that bolts on like a TAV will probably get you back in line. You can find them on eBay, or I think BMI sells them.

What kind of engine??

It's the Tecumseh H50 I have.
It's almost done.
I just recieved the NEW RLV Motorsports Header from ebay for $16.55.
I am going to order a Foam air filter soon.

Whatever I put on the shaft can't have an integral key, because the keyway is in the middle of the shaft (only).

I just responded to alot of doodlebugs for sale in my area.
If I had to drill more holes in the frame, I wouldn't regret it.:hack:

You can always use 2 pieces of 1/2" thick flat stock with threaded holes to mount to the engine plate, and holes to bolt your engine to the flat stock.
The H50 on one of my Sears bike came with the clutch outboard, and the engine hangs way out to the right, but thats how they sit with everything lining up. You'll just have to set the engine on the frame with the rear wheel mounted, get everything square, and it will be easier to see what you have to do.
