Baja Warrior throttle cable wires!

#1
I just cleaned out my carburetor and I'm assembling everything back together, but got stuck on a part. As I was putting back my throttle setup back together, I noticed the wires are frayed and are not fitting through the nut with the two holes. Is there a way to make it smoother, so the little wires are not hitting the nut? Please help if you know how to smooth it down or fix it somehow. Thanks!

You can try to wind them back up but once they start doing that it's hard to fix it. Just run to your local Walmart and buy a replacement cable. A bicycle brake cable will work

I just solder them. Hold the soldering tip to the wire to get it hot, dab a little flux on it, then press the solder onto the wire and you will see it bleed in. You only need a small amount.
