Here is another one I'm messing with trying to gather some parts for. Picked this one up in Indiana awhile ago. After I got it home I realized that the handlebars had been cut off to use a smaller throttle. They had butt welded a piece of what looked like shower curtain rod to the end. Very thin wall and was not going to last long. I have repaired them by turning down a 1 inch tube with a 1/4 inch wall, should outlast the rest of the bike.
I was going to replace the cut rear axle mount with one @Skipp gave me but I just got a swingarm from @BigBoyToys from the MTN George collection so I'm undecided, ((1100PLUS)) I might just add a swingarm.

Frame still needs some holes welded, rear fender tab replaced and possibly shock mounts. There is bushing added to the frame for a foot brake I think, I might try and use it.
I also picked up a set of Gopowers from @Midyrman got them cleaned and buffed up ready to install. Bought an aftermarket brake but hoping to get parts for a bendix.
Probably going with aftermarket fenders, seat and a clone motor on this one. Screenshot_20220731-210039_Facebook.jpg 20240114_044522.jpg 20240114_044541.jpg

So I've got all the extra holes welded up. I added a fender tab to the rear and removed the original axle mounts. The swingarm needed a few welds also so that is finished. I forgot to add shock mounts to the frame so that still needs done. I did leave the foot brake mount that was previously added, still not sure if I will use it or not but it's there if I want to. I also didn't removed the origional brake cable mount from the frame. The holes above the fender tabs I also left for a rear plate or lights. Got a bunch of projects going at the same time so eventually I'll finish one. 20240525_090818.jpg 20240525_090745.jpg 20240525_090703.jpg

So Saturday I went to visit a custom seat shop, he does some nice automotive seats. I showed him what I was wanting and he said that he could make me a seat for my Bonanza and Gilson. I had already made seat bases so I could be sure the bolts would line up.Yesterday he called me and said they were done. I was very surprised that he only took 2 days to make them. Although they turned out nice I don't think that they are what I was wanting. They are just way to soft, definitely need to be a bit firmer. I'm going to keep these 2 but I'm going to go talk to him this weekend about using a different foam for future seats for me. 20240619_034942.jpg 20240619_034956.jpg 20240619_035006.jpg 20240619_035019.jpg

What did you end up using for your drum/sprocket combo and what are you using for the bendix . I have a bc1000 . Or should i say parts are on the way to start building 1. It has 1 kidney bean wheel. Looking for parts to finish the puzzle. Thanks mchadsey1

Very nice!
Ask him if he wants more mini bike seat business from the old guys here.
I ask him about that and he said he would absolutely make other seats but I think he needs different foam for mini seats. Once I think the foam is correct I'll pass on any info to have seats made. I think the quality is good for the price but toooo squishy for me.

The brake and sprocket are getting harder to come by. I've got 2 sets of Gopowers and 1 kidney bean and still looking for another. I have 1 set of bendix, a partial set of bendix and a Chinese set. I wish I could help with brakes but I'm not sure where to get the parts. If nothing else you could use a band brake for your bike.
