Big Rob`s MonoTrack Build

Wow, I can't believe how cool this thing is getting. Some of us think we've done something when we restore a old bike, then you build something like this. Looks great man.

Thanks Clay its just a bunch of bits of steel and an idea I had in my head for a few years lol
I did some cutting on the frame made it not so tall and a not so long mounted the shocks and was able to sit on it , wow its tiny and feels weird lol
But it is a scaled down version the full size I hope will be a better fit
I may even be ready for testing in a few days lol just need a scaled down rider

Yoop if this thing works I will be sure to get some vids might be funny to set up the camera on a stand and watch the first try lol or practice a bit first till I get the hang of it lol

Spent a good day in the shop and got a lot of stuff finished on the test bike
jackshaft mounts , engine mount , rear springs , seat , track tensioners , and handle bars

Hopefully tomorow will be just as productive lol still have to make the jackshaft and sprockets hook up the throttle and try and get the engine running , will have to find my box of carb parts,

A couple more pictures lol

so this is your test bike right? if it works your going to scale it up some? I really like the design simple and effective. In theory anyway  Might be wise to put a couple sets of foot pegs. Some up front and some in the middle so you can shift your weight where it needs to be

cool rob.
you find a crash test dummy to test it yet?
just strap some ski's to you feet
I may have to bite the bullet and test this one myself lol

Ya I was actually thinking of a running board kind of footrest to be able to shift the weight around
Tried sitting on it yet? Balance front to back feel ok?
When I sit on it , it rests on the back section of the track , with a little weight shit it rocks forward very easily
If I get the rest of the stuff done tomorow and the engine runs it may be testing time lol

Im ready. Ill sit waaayyyyyyyy over here. Thats kinda what im thinking. If ya look at old skool creatures of this flavor.... the bottoms always long. Any luck on finding a way to join two tires together?

That thing is crazy, looks like a blast if it works like it supposed to. It looks as if the exhaust is going to be blowing right back at the rider, that might be an issue.

Well out of concern for my roasted nuts I made up a reverse header , might put a muffler on it , depends on the noise level I guess I have to get it running to know lol
