Does anyone have a trick or way to crimp somethimg to the end of a throttle cable that way it can be used in the twist grip. I also have the same issue with a brake cable. There was a tiny brass ball crimped on the end which held the barrel on to the cable that went in the brake lever itself, well it broke off and am wondering what other people might have done... I was thinking of using a fishing weight crimped at the end of the cable but don't think that will hold. Any ideas?

Use silver solder for you cable ends. Drill a hole in a board to the size, shape you need. Melt the solder into the hole using a blow torch. Dip the cable into the solder for 1 minute. After a minute take the cable out, it will be rock hard but still hot. Grind/file to exact shape. Thats what I did, and it works awesome.
