Is this a good price for this engine? can you get them any cheaper (I know that they went out of production in 1999)? Any other alternatives?

Yeah, There are some new blocks on ebay for about $85.00. All you need to do is find a good crank and flywheel. Everything else is easy to find.

That is a good price and shipping too ,, A animal will almost cost twice that now
