Hey Sparkie. I just now saw your second post. I believe it takes a centrifical belt clutch on the engine. Member Bremer is our resident expert on these so you might query him to get more perspective. I am just the ignorant owner.
Thanks. Regardless of the way it was, If I get it, it will get a clutch on a little smoke motor.
I see, now that the thing on the jackshaft is a drum brake. I thought it might be some prehistoric clutch assembly.

I think that is rated at 2 HP. If that doesn't work, I also have a few HSK600 snow blower engines, and a couple of HSK850s, but I think those would be a real handful with the foot throttle.
I have a power products something 1000 I think that might look cool. However, I know nothing about the engine. For shitz and giggles I'll pull it off the shelf and see how it fits,
I have a bunch of Jacobsens, but with the horizontal cylinder, like your Power Products engine, I think the distance from the spark plug to the air filter will be to long to fit that frame.
Thought I'd check in with you, I am sorta figuring the deal fell thru? No worries I'd just like to know. If it warms up I was thinking about packaging it.
No worries mate. Its not like people are knocking down the door to get it. I probably will package it and then I can give an exact quote on shipping. I bought a new shipping scale so I don't have to drag the war department's scale out to the garage. The tecumseh I just shipped all the way across continent was $132 and it weighed around 68#. I think the Bremer is lighter. Hey don't dis on Freddy Blasi. He was a true hero....(not)
