Briggs flathead blocks

#1
Briggs blocks for sale, including one ported/modded/stroke clearanced, one mostly complete short block (appears to be NOS), and one partial short block (used and disassembled).

No idea of the specs of the modded block, but it appears to be based upon a dual-bearing engine; stroker clearanced internally, welding work on the outside corner (intake side), by appearances has been bored and looks to have been cut for larger valves. $40.

Mostly complete short block looks to be NOS; missing a valve and valve spring, but otherwise in primo shape. $50.

Partial short block, definitely used and no idea of specs; was a racing kart engine; has a piston with Horstman Rod but no valves. $30.

Bag o'hardware, includes billet lifters, several dual valve springs, retainers, etc. $15. Perfect for a 'sweep the floor' engine project.

Ten used Briggs coils; at least one is a 3-horse unit. $23.45 shipped, which amounts to $10 plus shipping in a medium flat rate box. Just want them to go to a good home versus chucking them in the can.

five Briggs flathead cams; three stock (by all appearances) and two that are marked as performance grinds; no idea of specs; one is marked 503 Smitty's and the other 905 X-2. A couple of the cams have very minor surface rust that should clean up very easily with a little Emory cloth. $30 for the whole lot.

Stock 5-horse crank, minor surface rust by good shape otherwise. $15.

Gasket sets, two engine sets and one carb set. $20 for all three.

5-horse Briggs... not sure of specs... I could measure bores to give you a better idea? I think one has been bored while the other looks to be close to stock. Will take some rough measurements when I get off work.

That one is gone/sold. I have a modded ball bearing block with a ball-bearing side cover, big valves, looks to have been bored, stroker clearance (welded underneath to reinforce the area stroker clearance, welded on corner near intake port for reinforcement) and another block that appears mostly stock but lightly ported. This is the one with a piston and Horstman rod hanging in it. This one is a bushing block.
