as stated above, if your piston is in good shape you can use it with a stock length billet rod... stroker rods require a different piston with the wristpin in a different location...You can use a World Formula rod although I prefer a rod like an ARC with removable bearings.. If this is going to be a budget build try looking for parts on Bob's karting forum...guys are always selling used stuff over there..

so i took it all apart today everything looks good  i think  now i have another question on the crank case cover there is the gov. gear and another metal gear that mesh with the crank timing gear after changing the crank bearing , crank ,cam and rod do i need to reinstall the metal gear if not using the gov. ?

this is the one i am talking about

here is what the rest of it look like. bore shows no wear scratches etc. and after cleaning piston looks brand new so it should be alright to reuse with arc stock length animal rod

I havnt removed that gear yet but I have disconnected the governor linkage on my Intek. I guess I'll find out if I have a PTO bearing or not when I pull the crank case cover off. I wouldn't mind running a WF head on mine. Here is a pic of my intek. HL336a tillotson and RLV 3 stage header.

Yea I know i have to make a pit stop at a small engine shop and get a crankcase gasket before I take the side cover off to pull the governor gutts out.
Either one of you guys know what the breather bypass kit does?? See them online for sale.

Ohh ok. Yea I was planning on getting rid of the plastic cam. That is the last thing I need for that damn thing to come apart while barreling down the street. I'm not worried about an arc rod or aluminum flywheel right now. Just very mild nothing to radical as I don't have anyone to ride with much less race. It already has some good power with the tillotson.

I see stock animal cams on eBay all the time. Guess ill pick up some heavier duty valve springs as well. Don't need any valve float at high rpm. If I end up blowing her up ohh well it'll give me a reason to go pick up a GX390 and make some real power.

I have a intek 900 series which is believe is the same as the 6.5 you have pictured here. I also want to make some more power out of it. since its stock now, what does it need to be non governed? arc billet connecting rod I guess and a push rod maybe? also im interested in what carb it will fit PZ30 or the 27 as you mension above. the 900 series is 206cc rated at 7 hp stock, but ive got header on it already and done a little tuning so i guess it makes about 8hp. going for about 11 hp on a 13 tooth clutch and 72 rear should really rip.

I like ordering parts from tbrwins.com (Turk bros) they have the springs you'll need. I'm going to order my arc rod from them and 125cc I havnt forgotten about you. Still wanting that WF cam

is that where you got your tilly and intake from
I got my 3 stage rlv header there, intake and some other misc small parts. Out2win.com is a good site. Just there ordering system is stuck in the last century. You have to copy and paste part numbers into the ordering form. Got the tilly from my neighbor, traded him a gas tank for it. Ordered a 17 dollar rebuild kit from out2win. Rebuilt it and it fired right up! Next thing I know I had all the neighborhood kids in my yard haha
