I joined the N.A.S.C.A.R. crowd back in the early 1990's when Buddy was still around and he added a lot of flavor to the mix and will always be a name and person who stood out in a crowd RIP Buddy

I saw him race at the Winston Western 500 at Riverside, Calif., in 1986. He scored 29th overall after a DNF/mechanical. Here's a photo from 1980, the year he won Daytona.
