Hello everyone its been a while. So got my kid the mini when he was younger. We got an MBX 10 and put a 5 HP briggs in it. Now he is 15 and still riding with friends but the brakes never really worked well almost not at all. I wan,t to juice it up for him and was hoping someone might know how I could put a band brake set up on the bike. I know I can get parts here but will the drum bolt right on the Motovox wheel? Thanks to anyone that can help.

The hydraulic brake from hot rod mini bikes is your best option.

Thanks, I saw that back when we got the bike. I just put a caliper and pads on it and it is no different. I can squeeze the sh## out of the lever and almost nothing. I don't think it is the rotor, have you used this system?

I got the hydraulic setup from Hot Rod Mini Bikes and it will lock up the rear wheel on my Monster Moto MB80 (exact same brake setup as the MBX 10)with ease .

If you got the hydraulic setup, did you bleed the master cylinder/line/caliper?

if you can fab a bracket and do a little welding these brakes will stop the bike on a dime and give ya 9 cents change.. I use them on mine... Chinese 50cc 70cc 90cc 110cc 125cc ATV Quad Rear Brake Master Cylinder Caliper | eBay
