Cheap seats but good seats

#1
I finally got around to taking pics of the seats my friend did for my Healds. $40 each is what he charged, material and all. The foam was supplied and cut by me so the shape was right, the patterns for the material were made from the originals. I hate to spend but love to save so it's the route I took, I highly recommend the seats made by kbs8Ball or "Kenny" for a restoration or even for a better seat than these. These do sit good and are well put together, and the price was more than right. I get a discount because I give him firewood from my lot, so it all works out. Here they are:

They look like good seats at a good value.
If the budget permits, however, and from my recent experiences, you will not find two individuals with more attention to detail in building CUSTOM seats than "Rawtone" (Kent) or "Kbs8ball" (Kenny). I have talked and/or had email dialogues at length with both of these gentlemen. I had a ton of questions about their respective fabrication processes and materials used and they were both extremely patient with me and answered all of my questions in detail.

Thats a decent looking cover. Id do a plain jane cover like that for a super bronc for 50 shipped.
Your seats are Art, these are utilitarian by comparison. This guy is good, he does mostly boats and some automotive stuff. The price was right and he's right down the road. I wanted to be sure your work was mentioned in this thread given the quality of it. I'm not restoring any minibikes yet, just making riders. When I need a seat made to that standard you'll get my money!

dang Andy, those look pretty nice! Really like the piping lines.
Thanks! He followed the lines from the original covers, I had him run the welt around the back of the bench. I still have the original board with the Heald decal and someday when the Tryke needs restoring I'll use it to recover. I got a deal on both but the bench was a very good deal!:deal:
