Very nice old stuff. I love old magazines and have far too many lying around. The article at the bottom of that page speaks of the efforts of anti-access groups to restrict motorized recreation on publicly owned land. That was in 1962 and they're still at it. Follow this link to see the state of affairs in 2010, and what you can do to help turn back the tide. This is serious stuff.
