Well its been a while but I have myself a new Baja Racer. I'm keeping the stocker engine for a bit (groan if you must) so I'm trying to get it running tip top. I rebuilt the carb and have been fiddling with the idle circuit screw (I have the Huayi adjustable carb.) it seems to run ok between 1.5 and 1.25 turns out from seated but I still have an off idle stumble. Where have you fellow 2.8 guys been setting this screw? Also has anyone drilled the main jet? I heard its a bit lean and thought that might be the stumble as it transitions from idle to power circuits.. I don't need a new carb so I wont be purchasing ProMods rejet unit. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
