Dirt Bug, 19" ape hangers. drilled rear sprket, xtra foot pegs

#1
Thought i would share some more mods to my dirt bug.
The rear sprocket i drilled with a 1 1/2" or so hole saw and a 7/8" bit.
I couldn't stand that it looked like a 10" pie plate,
The 2nd set of pegs are for standing up while im bombin along, that and the ape hangers make for a squirrely ride. I'm no Indian Larry so standin on the seat ain't gona happen.
The down side to the 19" rize is you can't haul back on the bars, like to do a wheelie, it would strip the clamp on the top triple tree. Gona havta wheelie on strait up HP. Crank on!!

tall bars

I haven't quite grasp the idea behind the tall handle bars...

Sprocket looks cool all drilled up.
Ii'm 6 feet tall ridin a bike designed with a 4-5 footer in mind, the bars were at my knees.
I probley whent 4'' higher than i had to, its easy to push the bike if the fuzz are around.

What brand are those I like the limited pull back and tight spread

I just put some emgo on my zebra

The tag on the bars said 49* (degree) as the brand name, the diameter is the same as my frame, 7/8". i went to one of the only bicycle shops in town that sells cruisers and they found them in a catalog for 25$
Ive searched the net n cant find im, their kinda rare as it turns out!?!
