Do Rokons Count ??????

#2
I had a Rokon and it was a great ride but I was stupid one day and sold it. It was an older Mach III Trail Breaker with the West Bend 820 engine.
Some would say it is not a mini bike but it is just a Mechanical Donkey that runs on gas.

Yeah, I was interested in finding out more about the Rokons that used Tillotson Carburetors.

I found some pictures of a Rokon here and noticed it has a West Bend type engine with a tilly carb.

Seemed like alot of motor & carb for 15 MPH.

With the older Rokon's the gearing in low gear was 84:1 and with a minimum speed of 1/2 MPH a super slow crawl but it would just about climb anything . In third gear it would push about 25 MPH wound out. The new ones go faster but have less control of gear selection as they use a TAV system. When it comes to two stroke power you will always use a bigger motor to achieve the torque needed throughout the power range.

Yeah, that's weird too.

A two-stroke engine used for low speed torque.

I think two-strokes are best used with dual-carbs and 5 speed transmissions.
