Doodlebug Conversion

#1
I just recently bought a Doodlebug DB30 and a Harbor Freight 6 1/2 hp clone. I have seen a few conversion kits for sale and didnt know if there was one superior to the others. I plan on buying a kit and converting it soon. I dont know if this matters but I do plan on putting a jackshaft on it at a later date. Any input would be greatly appreciated on the conversion kits.
Thanks
Dustin

yup sure do, is the CJT kit made to work with the existing engine plate holes? If it is, I'd almost say that it's worth it to go that route, then.
Yep, you just bolt the CJT plate to the existing holes.

The problem is with the Promod jackshaft I think the alignment get thrown off and you need to move the engine over a little bit.

I have the CJTmini kit on two DB30's, I deleted the clutch shield when I ordered my kit...I ordered the OldMiniBikes clutch shield because I liked it better.

Sounds like the Promod would be the way to go because I would be getting my jackshaft through them.
I just didnt know that there was such a difference in the kits.
