Freewheel hub

How do you remove these freewheel hubs from the rear wheel? I want to get a non spinning hub on here. Seems like it would thread off but then im thinking i need a special tool?

take it to a bicycle shop. They have the different freewheel removal tools. There's more than just one style and they are like $15-20 each so take the wheel there and have them take it off for $5.

if you dont want to save it you can use an old flathead screwdriver and a hammer, it should be left hand thread (righty loosey, lefty tighty)

They spin OFF in the same direction that it freewheels....On a bicycle when You pedal, the direction that it spins will always tighten it on the hub....So it is spun counter clockwise to loosen....Scootercat....
