Front fork suspension construction help needed!

I am building a bespoke bike from scratch, I have sorted the frame and swinging arm which are almost complete.

Next part to concentrate on will be the front suspension, I would prefer to have some sort of simple damping on them, can anyone point me in the right direction?, just a simple spring mechanism would do, pics would be a huge benefit.

Love the British terms, welcome to the forum - How about something like this front suspension? Maybe you could find one in a scrapyard. :lol:
