Glow in the dark h35 side popper

I've seen a couple of this color engine in the last couple months. Think there was 2 hs50s
This is a super clean (for its age) engine. Not mini bike correct but super cool. 1968 h35 side popper. It has a 3 digit serial. Is that uncommon. As I think about it I'm not sure I've seen one before or even noticed it. I ended up picking up an extra megaphone exhaust off the nice gentlemen off of eBay so I was thinking it would look cool or it.

'64 engine then?

It has a mini bike throttle mechanism on it?

BTW, I love the color. It's such a cool one-off

It does but had a small set screw in the top. So I your have to drill and tap
Me too. I stood by the light switch and turned the lights off to see if it would glow.:eek:ut:

45132 is the model number you look up for parts. That should be a 1968. Recoil is wrong for a 1964. Recoils were not round. Where the rope pull is on a 1964 it would protrude out. The brand of equipment that was used on was Roto-Hoe.

Cool find! I have one on a Sears generator that runs great, starts first or second pull. I often thought about swapping out the motor to a 3 or 4 hp and keeping it for a mini bike.

Yeah the Bee Spraying Tecumseh I picked up had that same speed control backet. I drilled a hole too. Well, I punched a hole as I could get no resistance pushing a drill bit into it with it still on the engine and didn't want to take it off. I have this awesome hand hole puncher I got at an estate sale. But this is the complete bracket before I drilled. Like a plunger type. I just installed it on a Stellar yesterday.

Your engine is very close to this one except mine is not a side popper. It's a '68 also. Very nice pickup!
