governor on h/f 6.5 clone

ok i am new here this is my first post......

i got a 6.5 from H/F and its not at all what i wanted in terms of top speed with the govenor still intact is there a way i can udjust the govenor speed stop (i dont know exactly what it is called) or to connect a throttle str8 to the govenor not letting it stop when im in full throttle please i dont want to go 17 mphs i want to get at least 35 on it

1. Shorten the spring going from the throttle lever to the gov arm.
2. Go with a smaller gearing ratio.

take the spring that is under the gas tank and replace it with a straight rod.
