HM100 tecumseh in 70 roadster rupp frame?

Anybody ever get a hm100 tecumseh squeezed into 1970 rupp frame? I have a opportunity to buy a nice clean hm100( 10 horse temcumseh) I would like to put it on a beat up 70 rupp that I have, But it looks tight! I have seen 5 horse bigblocks in there, but never a 10 horse. Is the 10 horse much larger than the h50? Thanks

That could be a problem, I wonder if A reduced profile side cover is available, like the star motorsports engine has?

Its wider on the PTO side by about an 1"...That would cause a problem with the torque converter.

Yep, Thats what I figured. I have seen reduced profile side cover for other tecumseh engines, I guess now i am just hoping that one is available for this engine. I would really like to make this work, I think it would make a great torquey bike to ride around on! And I hate to pass on this engine!

Yep torque monsters they are...I have an HM80 that im messing with now. Just picked up a billet connecting rod for it too

a skinnier crank case cover?

yes skinnier side covers, mike clements and vke make them for the star, you have to shorten the crank. I have one on another engine, It is similar to a regular big block motor but a little different, I dont know how it compares to the hm100 or h50?.
