Was the gap too tight?
WAY too tight.
This cam was the equivalent of adding nitrous to a stock one.

You all know about that ,right? Increasing combustion that high causes the rings to butt together and scuff the cylinder walls?

All this crap i've been receiving makes me think nobody does.

What was the end gap before and after the filing?
No, a cam doesn't make combustion pressure skyrocket, certainly nothing like nitrous.
Heat makes rings expand. If the ends don't butt, the gap isn't too tight. .0035 per inch of bore is about right. Ten thousandths, .010, is plenty. More than that is going to increase blow-by.
Google will help you. Maybe.
