How to separate two piece rims that won’t come apart?

#2
I know very little about Healds, but I'm guessing that's a one piece wheel (two halves welded together). The wheel has a drop center to facilitate demounting/mounting tires; if it were a two piece wheel, there would be no need for the drop center. Also, if it were a two piece wheel, there would be bolts holding it together; it wouldn't rely on the lugs to hold it together.

Having big 8" rims are tough..mine having fixed bearings no shops will do for me so i drilled a hole in 3/8" plywood to use my axle to hold the rim down..in your case a couple of bolts..heat tire in sun or use a hair dryer, use lots of soap. You really need some cheap ebay tire spoons.Mine pop on and off really easy this way..I'm just giving you or otherrs input on what works for me if shop is not an option..good luck
