Huge Older trail bike. Possibly Sherpa. Torque of a tote gote on demand.

#1
Hello, I have a huge trail-bike for sale.

Location: Long Beach, Ca 90805
Price $200

I was told from a totegote forum that it is a Sherpa due to the engine being flipped 180° and the type of rear suspension.

The engine drives a belt through a torque converter setup which under drives during acceleration and overdrives after picking up speed while driving a transmission with 3 positions. The positions are Low (torque) neutral and High (speed) and can't be shifted while driving.

It has a front suspension which the springs are probably bad and a rear suspension where the springs are also bad but easily replaceable. It is still drivable as there is another rubber block that holds the rear suspension in place. The rear tire is huge. The block can be seen in the 3rd picture near the rear sprocket. The whole drive train moves with the rear suspension. it has 2 brakes but the middle needs work. The original muffler sits on the gas tank but the engine's stock muffler is connected.

Currently have a 5.5 engine on which was runs. Oil was replaced 1 week ago.

The only thing needed to get this thing moving is the belt which was thrown away by mistake and a brake lever. It has a twist grip throttle which is connected and working (not pictured yet).
