yea I'd like hear what a cop says about that  I always buy the appropriate year tags for my bikes off ebay, just about every bike I own has lights/tag holders though. I think it looks pretty cool with them and actually the neighbors aren't smart enough to realize its not legal so they don't go calling the po po about me running my bike up and down the street:thumbsup:

Only tag I have not bothered to get is one for the cushman, once you get into the '40's those tags go for big $$$$$$:sadcrying4:

Yes. I always thought it added a touch of class. I have a tag from 1941 that he gave me as well but I'm going to keep it in the house. Its his birth year. These wards bikes are drilled for one size fits all. There was holes all over. So this took care of the ones in the rear and I got 4 chrome button caps for the holes in the shock mount area. Just little trivial things but it cleans it up.

The date would turn some heads for sure. As unusual as my Tri-Sport Street Trike was and the way I always took off like a scalded dog I never got stopped.
I always ran with the lights on and had a 5 foot lighted wip and flew the # 6 Mark Martin Viagra N.A.S.C.R. flag so it was very noticeable and loud. It was a gas to ride and always drew a crowd. I think if you act like your legal you can bluff 80% of the cops.

Here's mine. It's non-opped nowadays due to needing insurance on it to be legal. I rode it to work several times when I first tagged it.

Under the seat are a stack of registrations under an oriental guy's name in San Jose. Apparently it was ridden a lot back then. It has 2800 miles on the odometer and it's mint.

I've seen dozens of Honda odometers, and they usually range from 500 to 900 miles on them and beat to hell.

That's nice Tom. I'm sure most of the Trail bikes had their 500 or so miles put on them in the dirt. My Dad has one, low miles like that and it is just about a parts bike if that. Yours with the "high" miles assures it was ridden on the road and not in a field by some kid.:scooter:

Mine is a cream puff only needing a new seat skin, and a headlight lens to be almost perfect. I got it from the son of the local Honda shop owner.

Sadly he comitted suicide several years ago.

Wow, that is sad. Can you imagine the "stuff" tucked away in peoples garages and basements. I was looking at Bonanza kit literature today and thought, I wonder how many of them never got put together. My father always said he wanted glasses that he could drive around and look in peoples garages. Maybe he has a pair? He sure dose find some odd stuff.:scooter:

My buddy always wanted to fly over neighborhoods with an ultralite helicopter to look for old cars.
The county does that with a heli sometimes around here, then issue you a nice citation with a hefty fine if you dont have them tagged...... F**kers
