Have you thought about making your own out of a standard brake band by shorting it? I did that to one when I needed a 4" band and the one I had on hand was to large.

Hello Bill,
No I had not, and I am certainly open to suggestions and other solutions. Just curious, however, by how much did you have to shorten YOURS? I ask, because the closest brake band available to what I need is 4", and I would need to shorten it by 1.5". That seems like a LOT to me as the curve (radius) of a 4" band is so much different than a 2.5". After it was cut down, I would think that it would not match anywhere close to the radius/curve of the 2.5" brake drum, and not work properly?
