Hey guys FatBuddyCat here and I'm in a situation.....does this look OK? Are the tanks too low? Easier to lift the tanks, lower the motor or add a fuel pump? Is there a belt shorter than the standard 30 series plate units?

You’ll need more height or a fuel pump in my opinion…

It should work ok if the tank is full, but when it is low it is about the same level as the carb and may not empty. There are many different length 30 series belts and charts for them. Look on the OldMiniBikes warehouse for the chart. you need to measure center to center length of the driver bolt to the driven pulley center and then use the chart to find the correct length.

Thanks! I'm thinking about lifting the tanks a couple inches too. I think I can do it easily with a piece of steel tubing

I added a seat and now the tanks look funny....

Measure center to center driver to driven.

Google belt tav 30 belts. Bmi has a good chart. It will give you a range. Like 6" to 7" use this belt.

I believe there are 2 shorter belts

It's not that bad. The suspension is gusseted with 3/16 plate behind the 1/8 inch chassis extensions.
