 That Rupp you just built would probably run pretty well too! Dunno if you have been to one of these yet, but there is usually pretty decent turnout of vintage dedicated competition cars running all day not just car club cruisers so its a pretty fun day even to spectate.

I didn't go last year, but the year before they were pretty adamant about legible numbers on your helmet or bike I think, so dont forget a sharpie, or some tape just in case. They never really bothered with that stuff before.
Thanks for the heads up, I have not been to the Lakeland drag strip in about 15 years, if I remember correctly it was a little rough around the edges.

the track had major improvments done several years ago, it would actually pass nhra inspection now. I believe you can see everything on their website

me and a friend of mine are putting a frame fixture together to build minibike frames. were also building wheelie bars, gas and oil tanks for sale very soon. hopefully will have a gas tank for all to check out at this race. both of my bikes will have the new wheelie bars on them
If you do start building some frames I may be interested. Post up some pics when they're available. What size gas tanks are you making? We have a couple of smaller cylinder style tanks but have to bring extra gas when we go trail riding because they are a little on the small side... but still look better than the stock Predator tanks. For some reason I takes the looks over practicality

Holy crap, you may want to put some wheelie bars on that monster! One of the members here (a couple of Billetproofs ago) brought out an MB165 with a V twin in it... crazy. His buddy had a chopped and stretched DB with a twin engine set up... I think he hit the low 60's. Really cool to see! We're looking forward to going again and by the sounds of it, a better mini bike showing

right now the tanks will be for drag racing but we do have about a quart and a half capisity so it might work for you.
were going to stretch the doodlebug eight to ten inches and put the 40 series torque converter from gopowersports.com on it. since its a stock engine were shooting for 60 something mph. my nitrous bike will be geared for 95 well see if it will do it lol

What's the gear ratio and tire size on your nitrous bike?

So there's not going to be a car show but we can still show up and race? Just want to make sure I'm correct before we make the drive over... btw, some pretty cool bikes you have there  Hopefully we'll get to ride, we were looking forward to getting back out there.
