Finally a nice hot day today--time to ride. Took out the Spitfire with the hemi. Engine has a carb kit and pipe. Runs strong but doesn't want to sit and idle. Kept turning in idle screw until it got better--rode it and when came in it was a real fast idle. I notice that I lost the breather that I had in the valve cover and when I backed off the screw it smoothed out the idle. Is it necessary to run a filter on the valve cover of these motors? Thanks.
