I think we are going to paint the pedal car frame a dark gray metallic. Anyone know of a good shade they have used? We are going to rattle the frame. And dont want a light silver. Send some suggestions my way!

Rustoleum has a couple really nice metallics but the problem is most of them are in the textured line which in my opinion would make cleaning the frame a little bit of a pain

I just used one from their metallic line called carbon that is a very nice dark grey, no flakes in it but came out fantastic

I'll try to shoot a pic later for you to see

If you use a light silver mettallic like a rustoleum and put a coat of the rustoleum clear coat on top of it. It darkens the silver and makes a nice dark gray mettallic finish.

I really like that, is that a hammered finish paint?
Nope, it's the new "Universal" metallic line, not hammered. Got it at home depot. It has a funky spray top and sprays at any angle.

Can looks like this but obviously the carbon color:

As mentioned it's paint and primer in one so it sprayed real nice, all I did was scuff the aluminum with a scotch pad and spray
