To convert Metric to American inch divide by 25.4

To convert American inch to Metric multiply by 25.4

Example: 6mm to American inch

6(mm) divided by 25.4 = .236

American inch to Metric

.250 x 25.4 = 6.35mm

Just remember 25.4 and you will always be able to convert.
