Need Info on this Kart please...

Hi Guys,

I'm more into the 2 wheeled variety...so if you guys could offer any info on this gokart it would be much appreciated. I know it's a Sears & Roebuck "Roadster" Kart...with a 2.5 Craftsman/Tecumseh engine on it.

But...I'm looking for any/all info you guys might have on it. When it was built etc...I'd really like to find some original advertisements on it as well, or an original S&R magazine with it in it. I did find 1 pic/brochure on minidoodle...but anything would be great. Thanks!!

HOLY CRAP!!! :drool: I don't know .. I thought it was a Manco.. but thats totaly different in the ass and front axle and stuff.. That thing must be fairly old judging by the steering wheel..

Possibly New Monarch Machine Co., Des Moines, Iowa.
The steering/tie rod area & the control pedals look similar to my
"Racer-Kart" sold exclusively through Sears:


I'm curious.....Are your front rims 6 lug?
