Pac mule... Need info on restoring it

I bought this at an auction the other day, thought it was a Tote Goat, was told this is a Pac Mule. all the jack shaft is gone, a poorly welded on belt pulley replaced what was ever on the rear wheel. somehow i need to find out what parts will make this work and if they are available. I have an 8 HP Briggs that may work, maybe something else too. Any help?

I had one last year that was nice all it needed was a engine what I found out about it they came with 3HP or 5HP briggs in them. your is like the one I had the motor mount slides and it has a fixed pulley clutch and variable driven pulley the later ones had fixed motor mount and a torque converter drive ken

Thanks for the pictures. This has been fun to research. At this time I think I will do the 8 HP engine, fix the motor plate in place e and remove all the linkage. Use a torque converter on the engine and as big a sprocket on the rear as I can find. What do you think?
