Problem with mounting clutch. Help Please

It has been about 40 years since I had a mini bike, so forgive my ignorance. It seems like the key way on the clutch and crank shaft should line up, but mine does not. There are two 'bumps' inside the clutch that keep it from going on the way I think it should. Question: Should I file those bumps down so the keyways line up? Here are some pictures. Thanks.

clean up the holes and see if it works. the keys need to line up.

you need to use the IMG code (not HTML) when posting on boards.

In the photo of the clutch hub I see a thumb. Now I gotta wonder why there is no grease under the nail. That's not your thumb is it? Or do you regularly have a manicure after you work on a mini?

DON'T FILE OR CLEAN ANYTHING!!! just get the biggest hammer you can find, I suggest at least an 8LB sledge, 10 pounder if you have one.

Now beat the living snot out of it til it goes on, it will take at LEAST 30 good hits before it goes into place. If your crank wobbles slightly when you are going down the road you know you have it just right.

Thanks for all the help and great tips guys.
Strigoi, I am still working on this new technology called a computer. I'll get it figured out though. Thanks for the tip.

Yellowhand, The Coyote is sorta on the back burner because I can't find all the engine parts I need. I'm working on a Stella now. It has a H25 on it, and the clutch is for the Tech. I still have to send you those taps. Sorry. I will though.

Oldsalt, The thumb is mine. I had just gotten back from the doctor, and before I went, my mommie told me to be sure to wear clean undies, brush my teeth, and clean under my finger nails.

Update and Question? Does any one have a crank, and block including the left side cover for a Tecumseh H25? Mine has a big hole in it!
