Project Side Poppin'

Its a heat and chemical process, I have been doing it for years on the inside of superchargers in marine use to keep corrosion down similar to hard anodizing. I like the look of it also, seems I use it more so as a finish these days. Definitely has a tuff look to it.

Still waiting on a couple items, I need to make a decision on the camshaft, im sure power now will be quite fine as is and im not racing anyone probably wont even really run the bike when finished much like the rest of my stuff.... I went ahead and fitted things you can get a general idea of the look. I will wait to cut the intake down some and for the exhaust till the chassis is done, I have some cool ideas for exhaust but that will have to wait for now..

Man, that's looking nice Jeff. I just tried to tear down an H35 that came on an edger the other night. I had bought a crank off ebay that ended up not fitting. Now I've got an engine laying all over the work bench with no agenda

Thanks:thumbsup: What year engine do you have? I have a odd one (non mag) I was going to take apart and see what size the camshaft was, If the crank would work I would be glad to give it to you, I will need to see what the hell it is first, I will pull it apart this weekend. If not bag and tag that little dude for another day...

I'm not sure what year, but it appears to be a later model judging from the recoil starter. i'd have to look again tonight at the tag on the shroud. Thanks for the offer!

Decided to just go ahead and button things up, This is the basic finished product, I need to install the recoil I did take it apart and paint it today and exhaust will have to wait till its in the bike.

Looking real good. I finished my H25 not too long ago, but it is just box stock. Is your exhaust port threaded? I would like something different for an exhaust for mine, but not sure what design yet.

The exhaust was threaded but there is only a hint of it left after porting, I have a good 20 ideas on exhaust but it will have to wait for fitting in the mini, I will have a couple more posts in engines when the chassis is ready and time for exhaust I will move it to a projects thread.
5 Horse lets not talk about intake exhaust swapping I have a chopper coming and a grand idea for a HS cam grind in a stroked H35 that project will be our secret for now
