If it came out of virginia,and Not maryland,and Wasnt ever reggied in maryland,then your chances of what mipowdercoater suggests doing is almost 100% :thumbsup:

the engine not matching shouldnt be a big deal,esp with a bike.
theyll base the title off the bike vin.
speaking of,i dont want to know the vin,but is it 17 numbers or less?
lot of them say that anything less than that never got into the computers records...?

17 digit vins began in 1980. The 10 the digit always tells you the year on a 17 digit vin.

Ill do a car fax report on it.
frame # is G5-xxxxxx, (A10 spec.) not a modern "vin". Maybe a mix of parts...the throttle assy and cable are A 82 type, found out the hard way when the new cable didnt fit. everything else on the parts page is correct though.
when I type the vin in on the kawasaki corporate parts webpage it says its a 1981.
