Ramrod Mock-up

Thought I'd share this preliminary mock up of my latest Arctic Cat build. It's the first I'm seeing in person what's so far only lived in my imagination or been hanging from hooks to dry. The shocks and struts are at extremes and likely need adjusting up and down, respectively, to dial in the comfort and ridability factors. Got an engine mount plate for flexibility this time, though it's ridiculously tight at the top. Gotta figure out which way the plate goes, to begin with. No ideas yet on handlebars, but looking forward to a convenient electric start button ;)

As someone who is generally a purist of Arctic Cat Bikes, I have to admit that looks pretty sweet. That wheel and tire combo is killer! Reminds me of putting larger more modern wheels on a muscle car.

Thanks so much. I really appreciate the feedback. I wouldn't call myself a non-purist, it's just I've only ever come across stripped frames and rusted rollers. It's like when life gives you lemons, ya know?

I love the Arctic Cat frame for its comfort. I've been happy with my investment in motorcycle quality shocks, too. But I would love to find a complete survivor AC.

And thanks I like the wheels, too. They're from the Asian scooter and Honda markets.

By the way I'm real happy with the engine paint. Nice and thick and glossy. Appears to be fuel resistant. Seymour - SRO "High Solids"

Well I'll be. Those are cool. And I'm humbled by your generosity. Thanks. I did look up the hounddog bars. He's a little more expensive than you. I like the look tho, so I'll gladly take yours off your hands, or chair. At the very least, we'll all get to see how they look. I'll send a PM.
