Tank is finished!! We chose a 55 chevy color " India Ivory" which is as close as we could get to the original gel coat color. Add about 5 coats of clear, color sand and color sand some more, polish, and WOW!, Thanks again to Paul. Definitely show quality.
Really scored finding an nos lighting system with full harness and handle bar mounted switch for on off high and low beam with the kill button built in. Never seen one of these before. I have always seen the on switch in the head light. Had to have it!!
The lighting did come with 12 volt sealed beam. We found a new 6 volt sealed beam aat our local Honda dealer. The parts guy said this light has been on the shelf for 30 plus years and could not find a part number for it.He sold it to us for $20.00.
Just a few more parts to put on. Still looking for fuel cap with gauge. Should be totally finished by the end of this week. One more sprocket, the fuel valve with lines, rear chain and air box boot and we are done. Whew !!!
Next we have plans to build a "Bonanza" go cart. One that would have been made in the 70's. It will be Hodaka powered with kidney bean wheels. 2 inches wider wheels in the rear and the seat to look old school and that matches the mini bike upholstery. Frame in Bonanza Blue of course!
