Spark plug wire

Has anyone ever changed out the plug wire on their Predator? I'm wanting to replace mine with a MSD Super Conductor plug wire, but not sure if it will work as far as these engines use a magneto(?) type ignition. I've seen where a member here (LSCustom) has a MSD boot, but not sure if its just the boot or complete plug wire. Any help here would be great.

I just switched my plug wire over to an 8.5 msd wire and boot, it works great.

Awesome! So you just remove the old one and install the new wire Bikeworm? I figure I'd get one off ebay to try it out so I don't screw up mine.

Nothing to screw up, the old wire unscrews and you screw the new one in.

Installed new wire couple weeks ago end definitely made a noticeable difference. Idle is much cleaner and starts in only a couple pulls now. My only issue was the 8.5mm wire was just a little too thick to install without scraping away some insulation so I might go with a 8mm wire next time, but I'm still happy with the outcome.

I didn't scrape any insulation away just kept pressure on it feeding it down as I twisted it on. Haven't had any issues with it, and yes an upgrade to the wire is nice

The old wire just unscrews off of the coil lefty loosey :thumbsup:
