Steering neck questions

Good day all,

Looking at different options for the steering column and would like to know if the following two options are what you guys are typically using in the neck, any thoughts would be appreciated, Thanks

Would this type of flange bearing work? 5/8" ID x 1-3/8" OD x 5/16" Thick Standard Ball Bearing with Flange

Or if going with bushings would this work? Bronze Bushing 1/2" Shaft Diameter 5/8" OD 3/4" Length

Hi Stangr:

I'm not sure but do you happen to know if the bushings you linked to are the "oilite" type.....meaning they are made of that porous brass material that has to be soaked in oil for a time prior to use?
