Symco 125ft Clay Mini Bike drags Aug 13 2016

#45
I have a bunch do drone videos that I will upload asap. As far as the drags DelRay, my only suggestion is to volunteer with tech inspection. After I realized I wasn't in the correct class, I parked my bike. If they didn't reinstate you, then that was a mistake and we will try to make it better next year. I agree, I was in the wrong class at first. I think everyone will agree that Chris did a helluva job organizing and running the show. I'll post links to the videos as soon as I get them posted. Probably sometime tomorrow.

drone videos will be nice to see briggster...... sorry i couldn't stick around and the rain right after the races didn't help either..:doah:
doug showed up late and could not race with us. we both really wanted to race each other. we where going to have a grudge race after the show, but the rain stop us.
chris did a great job on getting things ready and we too. we where both happy to help uncover the tarps....
tarps really save the day this year. i also would be more then happy to help in the tech inspection, but only could make it on saturday and there was people signing up on friday. you would think people would sign there bike up in the correct class under good faith, but that doesn't happen anymore...
still a great place to go........:scooter:
only place where you can race 125ft on clay in wisconsn .............SYMCO

Maybe to make it more fair is to find someone with a dyno to have up there and then EVERYONE running would be in the correct class. No modified motors in stock class. This is just my opinion on the classes.

I had a great time, kinda disappointing I lost second round. I spun the tire pretty hard half track and was in and out of the throttle the whole time. I'd be down to help with tech inspection as well. I also think 11:00 am time slot is a little better. I was rushed to get my shit together after Friday night...

Yea, 10:00 was a bit early I thought. I'm glad we did at 10 though because the rain shower came right before noon. I have almost 30 mins of race video to upload today.

Thanks... I guess I didn't really realize it, but I might have been one of the only fatheads in my class. Where are you located I might take you up on that?

Hey briggster, what brand and model is your drone?
How do you like it and have you had any issues with it ?
Mine is a DJI Phantom 3 Standard. I've had it about a month or so. I teally like it. New, it was around $500 for the bare essentials kit. I got a package deal that included a form fitted backpack and an extra battery through Amazon and the whole thing was $650. As far as durability, I don't know if you saw or not, but I actually crashed it between the 10hp and 13hp classes. I got it tangled up in the overhead tree canopy. It fell to the ground and landed upside down. I turned it off, started it back up and took off -again. I was surprised. It was a pretty hard crash and it didn't seem to phase it. I eventually replaced one of the propellers, but it comes with two sets.

Thanks briggster, seems like a decent unit at a reasonable price, wish it had a built in screen on the radio instead of using a phone or tablet.
I have neither of those.
