The "BEAST" GX340 drag bike

#22
yeah I plan on it eventually, I just have to figure out a good one with a 1 inch bore and then save up for it. Or I have seen where some guys mount a standard sprocket to the engine shaft and the mount the clutch on the jackshaft, mines is a 3/4 inch. I guess thats an idea, I just would have to find a small sprocket with 1" bore. any ideas?

O and I got the "plumbing" done on the motor last night and put the new gaskets on. tonight ill get her mounted to the frame.

Engine is looking good.
I'd go with clear/colored-clear fuel lines if it were mine. I can't tell you how many times I couldn't get a hi-po engine started for some reason or another and it's always good to be able to rule out the most obvious (fuel delivery) before I start pulling valve covers/flywheels/etc...

Just my opinion:smile:

you can order it off of OldMiniBikes.com I believe, I actually had some to use, It was 1/4 inch but the Outer diameter was too small to clamp down on the fuel inlet of the carb. The black nitrite house has a thicker outer diameter therefore I am able to use the screw clamps. I couldn't find any smaller clamps

Here is some pics of the bike in running condition, I still have to figure out a brake set up

Let me know your ideas for a brake, I want something on the jackshaft as I dont have a lot of room in the rear

Yea man ...cut the crank....I would not want that clutch that far out on the crank/bearing.....think pry bar/fulcrum.....

Could set up a harmonic vibration and shear crank at the case.......cause you know the clutch wont be dead perfect.....probably be a pisser keeping working oil seals in it too......
