First post, spent the last couple of days reading all I could find to get an idea of what I've gotten myself into.
Long story short. My son and I road race, just got back from Road Atlanta, and 4 days walking everywhere. I decided we needed a pit bike. Looked at Craig's list, and talked to folks about it. Someone said "Hey I got an old one, needs an engine, but you can have it".
Note to self, be careful what you wish for. :scared:
I am now in possession of what looks like it was a Bird Thunderbird, does have the Bird model plate.
And about 50 coats of paint, rust, and rot to be dealt with.
"Needs and engine" is an understatement.
Hopefully you folks will be able to lead me to the parts needed and any advice/tips/tricks to rebuild this.
A project has to have a name, and mine is The Evil Tweety Bird. It's a start. :thumbsup:
