Damn, now I need to go back and look at some pages on the freak bike thread. (to cheer up !)
Man, i was only 6 years old then, and lived 20 min outside Washington DC, can still remember my mom coming to the door crying, calling us inside, and telling us the president was dead.
The vietnam debacle was drilled in to our head each day by the evening news, and their body count #. (scared me to death as a child....and it was killing those who were defending our freedom...)
And now looking at those pictures when you look at all 50, i had no idea the racial hotbed that was going on around us in Camelot. People can be f*'n mean. No wonder folks stood up, or sat down, or whatever, and said enough is enough :hammer: .
Like I said, i'm going to go look at the freak bike thread some more, to get my smile back on.
Before I go, though I will say how thankful I am that a lot of things have changed for the better since 1963...and I am thankful I am here to experience them...
peace to you all....
