Thoughts on Mini Harley bike??!

#1
Hello everyone!

I currently have gotten interested in mini bikes and purchased a doodlebug with a Tecumseh 6Hp. I've also been looking around for another mini and that's when I found the Mini Harley. I just wanted to hear your guys opinions on the bike. Example: (Quality of the bike, top speed, how accurate the gauges are, how comfortable it is, and if you would recommend any off-road riding on it?) Thanks

I searched for a minute and didn't see it...

Someone should find the one I just seen on CL the other day.. It was the two rear wheeled TOTAL pos like this one, modded with a modded 6.5 clone and stuff... :doah:

I couldn't believe it.. Someone finally did it..

I seen a kid ridding "one of those" across the silverdome parking lot when I worked there and it was moving OK considering what it is but I think I seen it on the day it actually ran once, never again.

A mini harley would be cool but thats no mini harley it doesnt even look good, its all distorted like looking at in those warped fun house mirrors.

A mini harley with a 1/4 or 1/3 size scale harley engine would be all the rage.

But really there are harley minibikes that are far more cool than the china ripoff bike and they actually go up in value.
Here is a thread worth looking at.(keep the drool bucket handy - he did an excellent restore)

I am pretty sure he will say.......(I can $200 on it):laugh::laugh:

You get what you pay for kid. Sometimes you can improve on them enough to make them a nice dependable bike, like many have done with the DB30's. I would definately stay away from those so called mini harley bikes. They are worthless unless you are 6 yrs old.

Take your $200 and go buy a fixer upper thats complete. I find them all the time for $50-$100 . Take it apart ,repaint it, replace whatever needs it, and you'll be on your way.
