I had pm'd @Tom S. back at the end of 2023, just checking on him. He said he was doing good, focusing on some projects that were real important to him.

I just pm'd him again, letting him know folks here are asking about him.

Hi, everyone. Long time no see. Thanks for thinking about me.

Yeah, that's me on BaT. I spend too much time on that site. But geez, it's like looking through the Christmas Catalog each day. And I love selling stuff there. It's really a fun process from start to finish. Last summer I sold a friend's 1954 MG sports car. Right now I've got a couple of motorcycles that I hope to list this coming spring or summer. Both of those bikes ('83 Honda FT500 Ascot, '84 Yamaha RZ350) came my way last fall, from two friends who have aged out of the hobby.

I haven't messed with any minibikes since I sold my restored Fimco racer in 2022. I'll add a link to the sale. It was a lot of fun.

A Ruttman roller is still stashed away in my attic, but that project is pretty far down on my to-do list. Someday...

Take care,

Seems like some of us are just moving away from the hobby. I've still got 3 in my garage, but one will be getting sold once it's done and running eventually. Gonna lose my ass on that one for sure. I'm $3k+ into it and would be happy with half of that. It's not complete and has a 20ish hp 212 in it. Doesn't help that it takes 100 octane fuel either. That's not common where I'm at in California.

The other 2 I won't sell. One I'm married to since so much has been done to it. The other one I built for my wife that passed in late 2023. They're my keepers.

The pink bike in my avatar is long gone to some kid that completely fucked it up. I quit replying to his texts and I think he posted about it on here at some point. Don't buy a somewhat heavily modified bike for your first minibike.
