Yeah you should have got valves ... I would not run stock retainers with 26# springs unless I was trying to break something ...

What will break ank keep in mind I'm at 7000ft elevation and this motor probably won't ever touch down on 6500rpm.

The stock retainers are made for 10.8 # springs which are very light with a spring pressure of 26# and more lift even if they don't wear out or brake immediately they will and you will wind up dropping a valve
