This year I plan to build a hot rod 1968 Sensation Go Devil. The power plant will be a worked over predator with a tav, not 100% sure on the motor details or even if I will stick with the tav or go with the DBR manual clutch that is sitting in the garage. The frame needs lots of love, going to keep original paint on the tank and just clear it but the I.side needs some cleaning. This bike should be a blast to ride when done.

Thanks guys, looking forward to getting this started. My thought is if I go with the dbr clutch to set it up like a motorcycle, clutch and front brake lever on the bars and a foot lever for the rear brake. We'll see which way I go with it, I would really like to try the dbr on my drag bike though.

Well got bored in the house so I turned the heater on and tore the bike apart. Found a couple issues I didn't know about, the seat needs a total rebuild not just a cover and the gas tank has 2 soft spots with holes. Second picture is what came out of the tank. The bolts for front fender had pulled through which I knew about but gotta figure how to fix it. Also broke 1 bolt in the swing arm so I will need to get that out but otherwise went pretty well, now I have a lot of sand blasting to do.

Did some sand blasting yesterday, got almost all the pieces done. I have finally decided which clutch to use on this project and hope it works out to be the right one. Also gonna put a little more into the motor then originally planned, I will post some progress pictures soon. :grind:

Man I feel like this project is moving so slow, I may need to start looking for a clown wig and nose. I have a great vision in my head but don't have the motivation to finish the body work to get to the next step. I'm sure I will get there though.

Thanks for the vote of confidence guys, the body work is not my strong suit or my favorite part which explains the lack of motivation. I really enjoy the engine building and this motor should be a power house but need to order some parts to finish that. I don't want to dig into the motor till I have the frame primered. I do have a different plan of attack this year which is to build the bike, with everything primed, then disassemble and paint. Last year I did it backwards and messed up the paint due to working out the kinks.

Ok got everything cleaned up and ready to prep for primer. Man was there a lot of rust on this thing, there is a TON of pitting I'm hoping to be able to cover some with a good primer and some sanding. I know the stuff doesnt look that great in the pictures but it is 100 times better then it was.
