Should be a serial number on the engine plate/left front. Forks are not original to the frame but it should be a 300X if that yellow is original.

I am trying to buy this one!
just don't know if its worth it he says their is no serial number all he knows is that its supposed to be a cat but I want to be sure before I buy

It's a small framed CAT.

yes, definitely a cat 300 series -- the serial is stamped on the front left side of the engine plate, between the front engine mounting hole and the frame edge. If it's been painted a few times, it's likely filled in and you won't be able to read it without sanding/scraping away the paint.
